Guy-Roland MARCY, artiste céramiste né en 1925 et mort dans les années 1990. Pendant plus de quarante ans Guy-Roland a créé des pièces avec une exigence hors norme. Répertorié parmi les céramistes des grès de Puisaye dans la célèbre région de Saint-Amand en Puisaye (Nièvre), Guy-Roland MARCY n’a eu de cesse de parfaire la qualité de ses émaux, de ses couvertes, pour leur donner un caractère unique qu’aujourd’hui bon nombre d’amateurs éclairés redécouvrent.
Ce grand épi de faîtage en terre cuite vernissée des années 1970 dont la couverte rappelle celle du grès est le reflet de son talent. Décoré d’un hibou majestueux, il possède un caractère sculptural proche du totem qui permet de le mettre en valeur dans les intérieurs avec goût et sensibilité.
Pièce très rare dans ces grandes dimensions.
Un pied de lampe de 30 cm de haut a été vendu 1300 euros sans les frais à Montauban en novembre 2021.
