Chine, début de la dynastie Ming, fin XIVème-début du XVème siècle, très jolie et rare statuette en bronze à patine sombre, superbement sculptée avec de nombreux détails, représentant le Bodhisattva de la sagesse Manjusri, portant diadème, bijoux et tenue formelle, tenant un livre dans la main gauche, la main droite en posture d'argumentation. Manjusri est assis sur un trône de lotus surélevé reposant sur le dos d'un lion stylisé, lequel est debout sur une base arrondie.
Bon état si ce n’est un petit manque au diadème, sans incidence sur la belle esthétique de cette superbe pièce.
Hauteur 16,2 cm.
Le témoin d’échelle sur la dernière photographie est un petit modèle d’un briquet d’une marque connue de tous.

China, early Ming dynasty, late 14th-early 15th century, very fine and rare dark patina bronze statuette, superbly carved with many details, representing the Bodhisattva of wisdom Manjusri, wearing diadem, jewels and formal attire, holding a book in his left hand, his right hand in an argumentation posture. Manjusri is seated on a raised lotus throne resting on the back of a stylised lion, which stands on a rounded base.
Good condition except for a small loss to the tiara, which does not affect the aesthetics of this superb piece.
Height 16.2 cm.
The scale mark on the last photograph is a small model of a well-known brand of lighter.
