Inde, XVIème siècle, superbe et rare statue Jain en bronze de la déesse Ambika.
Elle est représentée debout sur un piédestal, adossée à une mandorle, portant un dhoti avec un petit Jina sur la tête.
Elle tient un enfant sur son bras gauche et ce qui semble être une arme dans sa main droite.
La déesse est flanquée par son « animal yahana », un lion, au bas de son côté gauche et un autre enfant debout au bas de son côté droit.
Belle patine rousse et verte.
État : ancien accident au bas des deux jambes et forte abrasion due au grand âge, sans incidence sur la belle esthétique.
Hauteur 8,5 cm.

She is depicted standing on a pedestal, leaning against a mandorla, wearing a dhoti with a small Jina on her head.
She is holding a child on her left arm and what appears to be a weapon in her right hand.
The goddess is flanked by her ‘yahana animal’, a lion, at the bottom of her left side and another child standing at the bottom of her right side.
Beautiful reddish-green patina.
Condition: old accident at the bottom of both legs and heavy abrasion due to old age, with no effect on the aesthetics.
Height 8.5 cm.
The scale indicator on the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
