Japon, années 1930/1950, très bel encrier en bronze à patine mordorée composée d’un récipient cubique destiné à recevoir l’encre et d’un long fût permettant de ranger le ou les pinceaux. Le couvercle est orné d’un personnage portant deux sacs au bout d’un bâton posé sur une épaule et d’un dragon. Le fût présente un décor en relief d’insectes et de végétaux et son extrémité représente une tête d’éléphant dont la trompe permet de maintenir le tout à hauteur utile.
Longueur 27,5 cm.
Le témoin d’échelle sur la dernière photographie est un petit modèle d’un briquet d’une marque connue de tous.

Japan, 1930s/1950s, very fine bronze inkwell with a golden-brown patina, consisting of a cubic container for ink and a long shaft for brushes. The lid is adorned with a figure carrying two bags at the end of a stick resting on one shoulder, and a dragon. The shaft is decorated in relief with insects and plants, and the end features an elephant's head whose trunk holds the whole at a useful height.
Length 27.5 cm.
The scale indicator on the last photograph is a small model of a well-known brand of lighter.
