Chine, fin du XIXème siècle, dans l’esprit des créations de la période Ming du XVIIème siècle, très jolie statue en terre vernissée figurant une Kwan Yin, bodhisattva de la compassion, représentée assise dans la position du délassement royal sur une excroissance rocheuse. Sur son côté gauche, un panier contient un poisson.

Les tons de violet manganèse presque noir, bleu et jaune rouille viennent parfaire la beauté de l’ensemble.


Hauteur 30 cm.

Provenance : collection particulière du val de Loire. 

Bon état si ce n’est la présence d’une restauration ancienne au niveau du dos de la statue, très peu visible et impossible à rendre sur photographies tellement elle est discrète.

China, end of the 19th century, in the spirit of the creations of the Ming period of the 17th century, very pretty statue in glazed earthenware representing a Kwan Yin, bodhisattva of compassion, represented seated in the position of royal relaxation on a rocky outgrowth. On its left side, a basket contains a fish.

The almost black tones of manganese violet, blue and rusty yellow complete the beauty of the whole.

Provenance: private collection from the Loire Valley.

Good condition except for the presence of an old restoration at the level of the back of the statue, very little visible and impossible to render on photographs so it is discreet.
