Japon, premier tiers du XXème siècle, très joli masque en bois polychrome du théâtre du Noh représentant le personnage Shakumi, une femme qui a souffert de nombreux drames et qui apparaît souvent dans le rôle d’une mère.
Signature gravée en creux au dos du masque.
Bon état si ce n’est quelques fines fissures très peu visibles et un petit enfoncement vertical sur le nez ; sans incidence sur l’esthétique.
Hauteur du masque seul 21 cm.
Hauteur totale avec le support 36 cm.

Good condition except for a few very inconspicuous fine cracks and a small vertical depression on the nose; without affecting aesthetics.
Height of the mask alone 21 cm.
