Claude GAVEAU (1940-2021), peintre français né à Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Issu d’une famille d’artistes, il se passionne très jeune pour la peinture et entre à l’École des Arts Appliqués de Paris en 1955. En 1960, il entre à l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.Bien qu’influencé par Cézanne, Braque et Dufy, Claude Gaveau s’inspire aussi de la musique et du lyrisme. Très tôt il obtient la reconnaissance du monde de l’Art. En 1965, il fait sa première exposition personnelle dans une galerie parisienne. Internationalement connu et reconnu, les œuvres de Claude Gaveau sont très souvent plébiscitées. Ses peintures, très équilibrées, sont à la frontière du réel.
Ce superbe tableau, représentant une composition abstraite datée 1975, provient de l’ancienne galerie « La belle Gabrielle » à Montmartre.

Coming from a family of artists, he was passionate about painting at a very young age and entered the School of Applied Arts in Paris in 1955. In 1960, he entered the National School of Fine Arts in Paris. that influenced by Cézanne, Braque and Dufy, Claude Gaveau is also inspired by music and lyricism. Very early on, he obtained recognition from the art world. In 1965, he made his first personal exhibition in a Parisian gallery. Internationally known and recognized, the works of Claude Gaveau are very often acclaimed. His paintings, very balanced, are at the border of reality.
This superb painting, representing an abstract composition dated 1975, comes from the former gallery "La belle Gabrielle" in Montmartre.
