EMPI (Maurice), peintre né le 31 janvier 1933 à Saint-Etienne – Loire- (Ec. Fr.). 

En 1950, il entre à l’atelier de Gen Paul à qui il doit ses débuts dans la peinture. Sa notoriété débute par l’exposition en 1953 dans la galerie de Michel Boutin rue du Fbg St Honoré à Paris. C’est le début de grands succès internationaux à Stockholm, Londres, Tokyo…

  

Cette œuvre superbe, titrée au dos « Le violon bleu », est le reflet du talent de ce bel artiste.
