Japon vers 1900, ère Meiji, très joli brûle-parfum en bronze figurant un personnage (faisant office de couvercle) sur un éléphant, probablement Fugen.
L'arrière du personnage est ajouré pour permettre la diffusion des senteurs.
Bon état si ce n'est de légères usures normales et sans incidence. Le couvercle est bien ajusté au moyens de deux petits taquets qui le maintiennent au corps de l'éléphant.
Hauteur 14,5 cm.
Longueur 12 cm.

Japan around 1900, Meiji era, very pretty bronze incense burner depicting a character (acting as a cover) on an elephant, probably Fugen.
The back of the character is openwork to allow the diffusion of scents.
Good condition except for slight normal wear and tear. The cover is well adjusted by means of two small tabs which hold it to the body of the elephant.
Height 14.5 cm.
Length 12 cm.
