Chine, vers 1900, très jolie boîte à thé en étain de forme heptagonale présentant sur chaque face une réserve vitrée dans laquelle est visible une estampe figurant une scène de cour.
Une guirlande à motifs de végétaux stylisés parcourt le corps de la boîte. Le bouchon s’insère dans le goulot par une partie circulaire creuse qui garantit la bonne conservation du thé. Pièce de belle qualité témoin du raffinement des objets du quotidien dans les productions chinoises de cette période.
Bon état si ce n’est un pied manquant, sans incidence sur l’esthétique et la stabilité.

China, circa 1900, very pretty heptagonal pewter tea box with a glazed reserve on each side in which is visible a print depicting a court scene.
A garland with stylized plant motifs runs through the body of the box. The stopper fits into the neck through a hollow circular part which guarantees the good conservation of the tea. Beautiful quality piece witnessing the refinement of everyday objects in Chinese productions of this period.
Good condition except for a missing foot, without affecting aesthetics and stability.
